And I don't blame him. It's clear a lot of it is down to Marvel pressuring him into doing things he doesn't want to do and trying to push things in the wrong direction. They just don't know a good thing when they have it. Iron Man was quite simply awesome, it just worked perfectly. Iron Man 2 was still quality and very good relative to other films, especially with the additional acting talent.

But, it completely lost its pace for around 25 mins in the middle and as a result I didn't enjoy it quite as much, very good but just lacking pacing as well as that special something that the first film had. Robert Downey and various cast members are most likely to be locked into a third movie. The whole thing has just been completely messed up now, Iron Man pulled all the right strings, Iron Man 2 was still good despite its flaws and could have just ended up being the dark horse of the series ifMarvelcatered to Favreau's needs and he had the breathing room to rescue the series with a quality thirdinstalment. Iron Man 3 isn't scheduled until 2013, so for now we can just hope that Marvel do the right thing and make Favreau an offer of creative freedom.
